GPVTS Recruitment, Shortlisting and Assessment Training
The Interview Skills course has become an essential part of doctors preparation for the forthcoming national selection for entry to GPVTS training
Shortlisting has changed (again!) and the structure will be entirely different next year. The shortlisting will be a national, machine marked process and we know the question types and objectives you will be tested on. We will show you how to answer the new Situational Judgement Tests (SJT's) and EMQs. We will cover the selection process as well, including task prioritisation, group discussion, simulated consultations, breaking bad news etc.
This course content is again fully rewritten to take account of the latest changes in GPVTS shortlisting, selection and assessment. Designed and run by MRCGP Doctors to give you the insight, knowledge and skills you need to succeed with proven results.
Selection only courses are run post-shortlisting. We will train you for task prioritisation exercises, group discussion tasks and communication / simulated consultation exercises. New developments by the Deaneries can be catered for, to ensure we are flexible and responsive to your needs. You'll be taught about breaking bad news, teamworking, conflict management and much, much more. Our coffee breaks are short, the day is long and intensive.
We are committed to providing the very best preparation for those applying to GPVTS in the forthcoming intake, by having the best materials, the best presenters and the best techniques and methods to maximise candidates chances of success. We want you to succeed.
Over 85% of attendees come by recommendation - and that is why you should give yourself the advantage and ensure you are properly prepared for your next interview
Our trained GP Faculty continues to grow. Dr. V. Grippaudo MRCGP, GP trainer, has been joined by Dr. L. Tite MRCGP, Dr. P Allen MRCGP and Dr. L Lee MRCGP. All have received positive feedback for their GP-focussed teaching styles, a perfect complement to the mix of primary and secondary care that gets asked during the GP entry process
